Technology by itself in isolation does not have the same effect because it can become passive. However, technology used in education as an instructional tool that drives discussion, provides access, promotes creativity, supports collaboration and cultivates an ownership of learning can be a powerful resource in any learning experience.

We know this as educators- that is why when I get the opportunity to work with amazing teachers and leaders around the world using digital tools – they say, “show me – don’t tell me”. That is the purpose of this site. To discuss, demonstrate, and to inspire a change in practice using technology as an intentional element to increase learning outcomes for all members in a learning community, large or small. Prior to her role at Microsoft, Geri Gillespy, Ed.D. was the Administrator of Digital Integration for a large district in the Pacific Northwest. Her Digital Integration team supported the implementation, training, and evaluation of technology integration throughout the district. Geri has been in education for 25 years as a teacher, academic coach, building principal, district administrator, and adjunct professor working with future educators and leaders. She is currently a Sr. Industry Executive at Microsoft as a strategic advisor for leaders and educators, in addition to managing the US Training Partner Program. She was a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert Fellow and trainer and was awarded the ISTE Make it Happen award for Leadership in Educational Technology. She earned her Ed.D. in Executive Leadership in Curriculum and Instruction focusing on systematic integration of technology in education.
